  • Kalie Schmidt, LMSW- Reiki Practitioner

My goal as therapist is to provide an environment that is safe, comfortable, and relaxed where my clients know they can be open and honest about themselves and reasons for seeking counseling without judgement.

I typically work with older adolescents and adults. My experience in my career as a master’s level social worker has been in mental health inpatient, partial, and outpatient treatment. I have worked with a variety of individuals dealing with mild to severe mental health issues/concerns including depression, anxiety, self-harm/suicidal ideation, perinatal/postpartum depression and anxiety, bipolar and related mood disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, stress management, life transitions, grief and loss, substance use issues/addiction, and trauma.

I use a variety of therapeutic approaches and treatment modalities specific to the client’s needs. Some of those include motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, CBT, DBT, solution focused therapy, family systems and strengths-based perspective.

My hope for my clients is that the therapeutic experience builds confidence in themselves and ability to make decisions; manage life and its stress; as well as find a sense of direction, peace and purpose as often clients come into therapy feeling lost or confused about themselves or situations around them.

  • Stacia Fridley, LMSW - Master Reiki Practitioner

I obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Grand Valley State University in 1996 and am a fully licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW). Over the past 28 years, I have worked with many different kinds of clients with varying mental health issues and many talented professionals that have educated me about different treatment modalities and the biology of mental health issues. These experiences have taught me so much about human beings mentally, emotionally, and even biologically. I recently completed my master reiki attunement and loved incorporating it into my client’s care.

It is my goal to provide a relaxed, soothing environment that creates a sense of peace and comfort for my clients. Helping clients understand their symptoms, find peace, acceptance, personal growth, confidence and a stronger sense of purpose is the best part of my job.

Learning to identify and manage our fears and the causes of them, as well as our unhealthy thinking patterns, emotions and behaviors is life changing. You will find that I am easy going, kind, honest and open during sessions.

I enjoy working with older adolescents and adults with a variety of mental health issues including depression, suicidal/self-harm ideation, anxiety, social anxiety with panic attacks, postpartum depression/anxiety, OCD, borderline personality disorder and mood disorders. I work with individuals who suffer from mild to severe mental health issues or are just struggling with difficult stressors or life transitions. I employ multiple types of treatment modalities including CBT, DBT, Family Systems, and Mindfulness.
